“DivaLicious-Opera Rocks!” is a show featuring duelling divas, Penny Shaw and Fiona Cooper Smyth (aka The Phantom Opera Singer).
These prima donnas of “popera” will be joined by baritone Robert Hofmann (“What The Fandango!” fame) and perfection on piano, David Wickham as they present their fun-filled, costume-packed, musical theatre and operatically enhanced show to those who are craving live entertainment.
Described as “Great wads of comedy slapped between two gorgeous divas”, these sensational comic sopranos, (who were finalists on Australia’s Got Talent in 2012), have a healthy rivalry, competing not only for the top notes but also for Robert “The Phantom” Hofmann’s affection in the show.
Fast moving, light-hearted and entertaining whilst maintaining the highest musical standards, this show has been nominated for Best Cabaret at Fringe World and had standing ovations at Sydney Opera House, impressing everyone from the opera buff to the opera newbie.
When: 7.30pm, Saturday 18th July and 4pm, Sunday 19th July
Tickets: $45 & $35 concession

Government House Ballroom Access Initiative (COVID-19)
This show is being presented as part of the Governor and Ms Annus’ new initiative to increase the use of the Ballroom for the community by supporting local artists and associated creative industries affected by COVID-19.
The Ballroom will be made available for local artists and arts organisations who have lost rehearsal space or income due to COVID-19 as a venue to perform, record, rehearse and stream – in line with strict physical distancing protocols.
This is part of the Governor’s commitment to continue to increase the use of Government House for social and economic recovery efforts in a post-COVID-19 era.
