Announcement of Governor-designate

As announced by the Premier on Tuesday, 3 April 2018, the Honourable Kim Beazley, AC has been named as the new Western Australian Governor-designate, and will be installed as Governor the evening of 1 May 2018.

The term of office of the current Governor of Western Australia, Her Excellency the Honourable Kerry Sanderson AC, concludes on 30 April 2018.

Invitations and requests will be considered by the Office following the formal appointment of Mr Beazley in early May. You will be notified in writing once a decision has been made.
