Governor’s official visit to Hawaii for Honolulu Leadership Dialogue September 28, 2018 By Adele Hollywood The Honourable Kim Beazley AC, Governor of Western Australia will visit Hawaii to represent the State at the 11th annual Australian American Leadership Dialogue (AALD) – Honolulu, from Saturday 29th September to Saturday 7th October 2018. The Governor will attend the Dialogue as part of his role to advocate for the State’s interests, both interstate and overseas, as endorsed by the Premier. The Honolulu Dialogue is centred on discussions regarding the sustainable development of a robust, stable, prosperous and healthy Indo-Pacific region. A focus of this year’s Dialogue, jointly hosted by US Indo Pacific Command and the East West Center, is the celebration of 100 Years of Australian-American mateship. The Governor is a former co-chairman of the AALD Board. The Honourable Wayne Martin AC, Lieutenant Governor, will administer the State in the Governor’s absence.
