Message from the Governor – Christchurch attacks March 15, 2019 By Adele Hollywood I express my deepest sympathy to the families and loved ones of the killed and injured at the Muslim Mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand. That condolence is extended to the horrified and saddened Muslims, our fellow Western Australians. This viciousness has no place in our community. I am further ashamed that the apparent lead perpetrator is Australian. This sorrow will live with us all forever. Our mosques, all our religious institutions, should be havens of prayerful security. Prayer is not confined there, safety should be everywhere. Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have suffered and are suffering. It is beyond our imagination but not our combined resolve that we are in solidarity with those so deeply affected.
