Message from the Governor – Sri Lanka attacks

I extend my sincerest condolences to the families and loved ones of Dr Sally Bradley and Bill Harrop who were among the victims killed in the Sri Lanka bombings on Easter Sunday.

Both Bill Harrop and Sally Bradley were loved, valued and respected members of our community. Their loss will be felt deeply.

My deepest sympathies also to the families and loved ones of Manik Suriaaratchi and her daughter Alexandria who were also killed in the bombings.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all who have been affected in Sri Lanka and abroad by this devastating event. An evil group has shattered lives at a time of peace and renewal. We can only at this point express words of comfort and sadness. The Sri Lankan Authorities face the challenge of suppressing these evil acts.
