Mr Moniodis was accompanied by participants in the Developing Community Leaders Initiative (Obaida Mahrous, Ayor Chuot and Christal Quartermain). The Developing Community Leaders Initiative, coordinated by the Edmund Rice Centre WA (external link), and supported by the WA Police Force, develops young people, predominantly from CaLD and other disadvantaged backgrounds, into strong community leaders with an active presence within their own communities and the wider Australian community, expanding their involvement in social, civic and economic life.
