Governor hosts two investiture ceremonies for the Queen’s Birthday Honours 2019 September 9, 2019 By Web Click The Governor hosted two investiture ceremonies to present the 2019 Queen’s Birthday Honours to Western Australian recipients, as announced in June this year, as well as the March 2019 Australian Bravery Decorations. Honours included: Officers in the General Division of the Order of Australia Members of the Order of Australia Medals of the Order of Australia in the General Division Australian Bravery Decorations (including two Star of Courage medals) Meritorious Service Awards View the official gazettes for the Queen’s Birthday 2019 Honours List (external link) Queen’s Birthday Honours 2019 – WA statistics: 77 Western Australians were recognised across the following categories: Officer in the General Division of the Order of Australia: 6 Member in the General Division of the Order of Australia: 28 Medal of the Order of Australia in the General Division: 32 Meritorious: 12 Australian Bravery Decorations March 2019 – WA statistics: 44 of the 101 recipients of Australian Bravery Decorations announced in March were recognised for bravery acts in Western Australia. Two of the three Star of Courage medals were awarded to West Australians – Senior Constable Stephanie Bochorsky and Mr Shaun McHenry.
