The Lieutenant Governor performs the official cake cutting 24th October 2019 October 24, 2019 By Adele Hollywood The Honourable Wayne Martin AC, Lieutenant Governor, hosted an afternoon tea event in the Government House Ballroom to celebrate Barking Gecko Theatre’s 30th anniversary. Barking Gecko is WA’s longest-running professional theatre company. It has crafted a locally, nationally and internationally renowned reputation as an indispensable cultural asset. Over 30 years it has toured 12 countries, presented 171 productions and received five Helpmann Awards (most recently for Bambert’s Book of Lost Stories which won Best Children’s Presentation in 2016).
