Ms Smith-Gander received the award for “Distinguished service to business, to women’s engagement in executive roles, to gender equality, and to the community” in the 2019 Queen’s Birthday Honours. An Australian citizen can be nominated for an honour by an individual, a community organisation, a professional body or similar group.
