Spring in the gardens – Rose parterre in full bloom

Have you ever seen the beautiful rose parterre in the Government House Grounds?

The rose gardens have been a feature of Government House since the 1890’s, with the parterre planted under Governor Bedford’s watch in 1906. The original purpose of the parterre was to bring colour to the Grounds.

The Drawing Room and southern terrace of the grounds provide arguably the best view on the property.

Come down and see the gardens for yourself every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 12pm – 2pm.
