The Dyslexia-SPELD Foundation (external link) was officially established in February 1969 in response to community and academic concerns about children with learning difficulties – particularly reading difficulties (or Dyslexia). The Foundation works hard to ensure that their services can be accessed by schools and families in low SES areas, providing many free and reduced-fee services. The Governor is Patron of the Foundation.
