Mello House (external link) is an invitation only members club discreetly located within the historic State Buildings in the very heart of Perth. It provides an environment created for an emerging generation of creative, curious and sociable community minded individuals to treat as their own, delivering an engaging blend of home, office and hospitality. The Governor acknowledged the contributions of Perth Festival to the development of arts and culture in our State, and Perth Festival’s first home-grown Artistic Director and UWA graduate – Mr Iain Grandage. Perth Festival 2020 (external link) will be the first of four Festivals under the direction of Mr Iain Grandage. After the reception’s formalities, guests were treated to a preview of the Perth Festival 2020 performance of HECATE. The performance involved Shakespeare’s Sonnets translated into Noongar by Perth Festival Associate Artist Ms Kylie Bracknell, with Mr Iain Grandage on cello.
