14th January 2020 • Perth USAsia Centre’s ‘In conversation’ public forum January 14, 2020 By Adele Hollywood The Governor and Ms Annus attended Perth USAsia Centre’s public forum in the Government House Ballroom with the Honourable Jeffry Flake, former United States Senator from Arizona. The Governor welcomed guests to the Government House Ballroom before proceedings began. About the event and speaker: Drawing on his eighteen years serving in American government, from his time as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives to his six years in the U.S. Senate, Senator Flake shared his assessment of the direction of the American democracy. Senator Flake is the author of the New York Times best seller Conscience of a Conservative: A Rejection of Destructive Politics and a Return to Principle.
