The Governor delivers an Australia Day address and congratulates all new citizenship grantees. 26th January 2020 • City of South Perth Australia Day Morning Ceremony January 26, 2020 By Adele Hollywood The Governor attended the City of South Perth‘s Australia Day Morning Ceremony, including the welcoming of the City’s newest Australian citizens, raising of the Australian flag, presentation of the Australia Day Active Citizenship Awards and the Ted Maslen Memorial University Exhibition Award. On Australia Day 2020, the City of South Perth welcomed an additional 205 people as new Australian Citizens, from over 45 different countries. 390 local people (in the City of South Perth) became new Australian citizens during 2019/20, bringing a richness of culture into our schools, workplaces and the wider community.
