The Governor and Ms Annus with the Hon Mark McGowan, Premier, and the Hon Sue Ellery Minister for Education and Training. 2nd February 2020 • Opening of Bob Hawke College, Subiaco February 2, 2020 By Adele Hollywood The Governor and Ms Annus attended the official opening of Bob Hawke College in Subiaco. The Governor gave an address and received a tour of the school after the ceremony. The Governor also participated in the unveiling of the school plaque and the bust of Bob Hawke at the front of the new administration building. Read the Governor’s speech The $70.6 million state-of-the-art school boasts modern facilities including science and technology laboratories, an auditorium, administration and student services, a cafeteria, landscaped courtyards, multipurpose playing courts and a performing arts centre. 260 Year 7 students will be the inaugural class to attend the college on the first day of school on the 3rd February 2020.
