Meeting with Professor Jeremy Nicholson and Professor David Morrison May 12, 2020 By Adele Hollywood The Governor met with Professor Jeremy Nicholson and Professor David Morrison from Murdoch University to receive a briefing on the Australian National Phenome Centre (ANPC). “Helpful meeting with Professor Nicholson, Pro Vice Chancellor for Health Sciences, and Professor Morrison, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation at Murdoch University. Professor Nicholson is head of the Phenome Centre at the Harry Perkins Institute (South). This is a new (in WA) research centre of world class character. It is critical in the long term battle with COVID-19. Central to their research is a detection project that deeply understands the complexity of the virus impact immediately on all of us and in the long term. Its research produces an understanding of our susceptibility to the virus in its current and evolving character.
