Lt Michael Munjak USN (centre) Vale Lt Michael Munjak, President of the North American Veterans’ Unit May 26, 2020 By Adele Hollywood In public life you get the chance to meet many great folk doing things for important objectives, mostly humble and unsung. One has just passed. Michael Munjak who ran the North American Veterans’ Unit. He was obvious at ANZAC Day and US Memorial Day. He was passionate. On US Memorial Day just passed he would hold a ceremony and recite the greatest short speech ever – Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address. He gave it all the meaning intended by its author. For last ANZAC Day he recited The Ode which his family backgrounded with photos and music. It is a moving tribute. I hope the Unit can take up the banner Michael carried with such enthusiasm. Our deepest sympathy to wife Anne and the family.
