The Governor presenting the Certificate of Appointment to the new Scouts WA Chief Commissioner Mr Ayden Mackenzie Certificate of Appointment presented to New Scouts WA Chief Commissioner Mr Ayden Mackenzie July 10, 2020 By Adele Hollywood The Governor was pleased to present Mr Ayden Mackenzie with a Certificate of Appointment as the new Scouts WA Chief Commissioner. For the past thirteen years, Mr Mackenzie has worked as a Youth and Community Development Officer for various local governments and joined Scouts in 1994 as a Venturer Scout and is a Queen’s Scout awardee. Scouting is a worldwide youth movement with nearly 40 million members – 7,600 in WA. It helps young people to be their best, supporting them as they develop in all facets of life so they can grow into constructive citizens in their communities. Scouting also transcends all cultural, religious, racial, political, age and gender barriers and welcomes membership enquiries from those with intellectual or physical disabilities. The Governor is WA’s Chief Scout and is proud to be patron of Scouts WA.
