About Investiture Ceremonies

Investiture Ceremonies will be held at 10am and 2pm this Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Recipients are allowed two guests each.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Governor’s Establishment gave all recipients of this year’s honours lists the option to receive their honours and awards in the mail, or wait to attend an Investiture Ceremony when it was safe to do so.

As a result, 56 packages were mailed to recipients from the Governor’s Establishment to recipients who opted to receive the insignia of their awards by post.

Traditionally, the Governor conducts one to two Investiture Ceremonies both in April and September. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this year’s April ceremony was rescheduled and has now been combined with the September event, held over six ceremonies.
