Governor congratulates ASEAN on 53rd anniversary in ASEAN Day video message August 8, 2020 By Adele Hollywood The Governor recorded a video message to mark ASEAN Day on Saturday 8th August, and the organisation’s 53rd anniversary. ASEAN in WA is represented by three Consul Generals (Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam), while Thailand and the Philippines are represented at the level of Honorary Consuls. ASEAN was established on 8th August 1967. The video message was coordinated by the Consulate General of Malaysia in Perth, on behalf of the ASEAN Member States in Perth.
