Local jazz stars launch WAAPA’s live-streamed lunchtime concert series in the Ballroom

Live-streamed from the state-of-the-art acoustics of the Government House Ballroom, the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) yesterday launched the first of four lunchtime concerts showcasing local musical talent.

Kicking off the series were two of WA’s finest Jazz musicians, both alumni of WAAPA, Tal Cohen (USA) and Jamie Oehlers. Presenting their original dynamic music, the sounds of the piano and the saxophone filled the Ballroom and made for an uplifting listening experience.
