The Governor speaking with students from Byford Secondary College via Zoom Education Outreach: Byford Secondary College September 8, 2020 By Adele Hollywood As part of the Education Outreach program, the Governor had an online meeting with the Year 11 students at Byford Secondary College via Zoom. The session was facilitated by Emilie Ingate, Humanities and Social Sciences Teacher. The students asked the Governor question around his role as Governor, the impacts of climate change on Australia, the Governor’s previous role as Australian Ambassador to the USA and COVID-19. “I always enjoy speaking with year 11 and 12 students. It’s a great way to get insight into their thoughts, ideas and aspirations for the future.” The Governor Byford Secondary College offers students academic extension opportunities across the Humanities, English, Mathematics and Science (HEMS) curriculum areas through a project call Aspire.
