25th Anniversary – Giovanni Consort Restart the Arts • Review – 12th & 13th September – Giovanni Consort’s 25th Anniversary Concerts in the Ballroom September 14, 2020 By Adele Hollywood The Giovanni Consort performed as part of the Restart the Arts with Government House initiative Celebrating a special milestone, across two nights, The Giovanni Consort produced a tremendous performance in front of a sell out crowd for The Giovanni 25th Anniversary! Conducted by Artistic Director, Hugh Lydon, WA’s professional chamber choir performed a diverse repertoire. Pieces included revered composers Arvo Pärt, Edward Elgar, and Ralph Vaughan Williams, alongside some of Perth’s homegrown talents, Perry Joyce and the young emerging composer Joshua Adams. These gala performances featured the talents of Brianna Louwen, Bonnie de la Hunty, Amber Lister, Gabrielle Scheggia, Ry Charleson, Kieran Lynch, Joshua Adams, and Nathaniel Shivaraman.
