The Governor meeting students from the Bilya Marlee Centre at UWA Tour of new Bilya Marlee Centre at UWA September 11, 2020 By Adele Hollywood The Governor toured the new Bilya Marlee, School of Indigenous Studies building at the University of Western Australia (UWA). Accompanied by Professor Amit Chakma, Vice Chancellor, UWA and Professor Jill Milroy, Pro Vice Chancellor Indigenous Education, the Governor was introduced to members of the faculty and several students that attend classes at the new Bilya Marlee building (meaning ‘River of the swan’). It aims to improve the student experience for the School of Indigenous Studies, the Centre for Aboriginal Medical and Dental Health and the POCHE Centre for Indigenous Health.
