The awards acknowledge the outstanding efforts by individuals who have displayed exceptional courage, initiative and empathy by applying lifesaving skills in emergency situations, sometimes at risk to themselves. The recognition of these individuals sends the strongest possible message to the Western Australian public about the importance of gaining CPR, first aid and lifesaving skills. Royal Life Saving firmly believes that ‘Everyone can be a Lifesaver’. The Royal Life Saving Society WA (RLSSWA) is a not-for profit organisation, serving the community as the largest provider of water safety education in our state.
