Michael Fragomeni speaking with the Governor about HyperPower Technologies, With the Top EV Racing “Arc’d Up” electric drag car Governor visits Perth start-up, HyperPower Technologies October 21, 2020 By Adele Hollywood The Governor visited Perth start-up HyperPower Technologies to view a prototype of their Advanced Propulsion System. A lifelong passion for automotive engineering has driven Mr Fragomeni, CEO of Top EV Racing & Innovations, to pursue the development of a ground-breaking new vehicle that is poised to break many land speed records. “The vehicle will go from zero to 530 kilometres per hour in four and a half seconds over the first 400 metres, accelerating at seven G’s – twice that of the Space Shuttle. We then want to eclipse a top speed that is half the speed of sound, which is 612 kilometres per hour.” Michael Fragomeni Michael Fragomeni speaking about the use of kevlar textiles for their aerospace composites Mr Fragomeni updated the Governor on the technologies HyperPower are working on. Leading research and technology development in the field of high-end electric vehicle and next-generation propulsion systems, the company are expanding Australia’s capabilities in smart electric motors, battery energy storage systems, and intuitive power control electronics. The Governor holding a hemp & kevlar hybrid composite assembly for aerodynamic wing components The Governor was given an insight into the textiles used to develop aerospace composites for the Top EV Racing “Arc’d Up” electric drag car. Consisting of a hemp & kevlar hybrid composite, this is used for assembly of aerodynamic wing components for racing. Mr Fragomeni’s impressive successes began with humble beginnings. With a passion for music and technology, he ran his own business for over sixteen years, designing electronics and building custom sound systems, mostly for cars. HyperPower Technologies has created their first prototype additive manufactured motor for the purpose of testing fitments. This has already attracted international interests from organisations who see the potential in his innovative new technologies. Michael Fragomeni showing the Governor their first additive manufactured motor prototype purposed for testing fitments The Governor’s priorities are to work for the betterment of the State of Western Australia and all members of its communities through engagement, support and advocacy which also involves championing Western Australian achievements in technology and development, particularly in the defence and space industries.
