The Governor with Mr Rohan Zakharia Meeting with Rohan Zakharia October 27, 2020 By Adele Hollywood The Governor met with Rohan Zakharia, a bright young classical percussionist who has been awarded a place at the New England Conservatory in Boston, USA, where he will be studying a four-year Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance, commencing in January 2021. As the first Australian percussionist to be accepted into the New England Conservatory, Rohan will be giving his debut solo percussion concert at the Government House Ballroom. This concert will feature major works written for the marimba, vibraphone, and multi-percussion.
