CEO – Steve Arnott greeting the Governor at the Perron Institute On arrival, CEO – Steve Arnott introduced the Governor to Professor Alan Robson AO CitWA, Chair, Professor Steve Wilton, Director of Research, Norman Palmer, Special Projects and Professor David Blacker, Medical Director & Consultant Neurologist. The team at Perron updated the Governor about their journey during the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions and the impacts it had on the Institute both good and bad. The lessons learnt on how Perron operated and adapted during COVID-19 have them well placed moving forward and has enabled them to focus on important research and medical breakthroughs. The future direction is to position Perron as world class Institute in specific areas of research namely precision medicines and disease origins. Another focus area is clinical applications including treatment regimes, drug trial management and participation. This multidisciplinary approach enables us to translate research outcomes into treatments aimed at providing a better quality of life for millions of people around the world who suffer with devastating neurological conditions.
