Luke and Sam were accompanied by one of the organisation’s supporters Professor Lyn Beazley AO, a distinguished neuroscientist and 2015 West Australian of the Year. The Governor was briefed on the work of Ocean Heroes which involves giving autistic children an opportunity to take part in organised sport backed by a highly supported, safe and inclusive environment. By running events and one-on-one surfing lessons, Ocean Heroes offers every kid the chance to experience the thrill of riding a wave.
