Ms Fiona Campbell – Artistic Director, Government House Foundation “It is a pleasure to welcome you all for the Government House Foundation’s Christmas Function. This is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the year that was with the resilient and innovative approach of the Foundation, in its operations during a challenging year. This evening also allows us a chance to look forward with hope and optimism as we hear of the plans of the Foundation for 2021. My wife Susie and I believe the primary role of Government House is to serve the community. Accordingly, we wish to ensure, wherever possible, that the House and Grounds are made available for public and community use. Government House is a place which belongs to the people of Western Australia and is a source of pride for all of us. It is a living, breathing, working house. A place for networking to advance the State’s interests and to recognise people who contribute to the fabric of our community. It is a place for community engagement, where important conversations are facilitated with people from all walks of life. I wish to extend my sincere thanks to each and every one of you for your contributions to and support of the Government House Foundation. I look forward to hearing of the Foundations plans for 2021 and hope that you all enjoy this evening’s function.
