Cygnus Arioso light up the ballroom as our Restart the Arts initiative continues in 2021 January 10, 2021 By Carole Kerr The culmination of three days of intensive mentoring, career development and rehearsals has come to fruition in the Government House ballroom, with new-generation chamber collective Cygnus Arioso performing works from Grieg and Schönber in the first Restart the Arts with Government House initiative event for 2021. The collective’s inaugural summer camp provided the opportunity for post-tertiary and early career string players to team up with established mentors to develop their skills. Led by violinist Akiko Miyazawa and composer Lachan Skipworth, Cygnus Arioso lit up the ballroom performing masterworks from Grieg: Holberg Suite and Schönberg: Verklärte Nacht.
