The Governor received Ms Megan Inglis, Clerk of the Executive Council, before presiding over a meeting of the Executive Council attended today by The Hon. Sue Ellery MLC, Minister for Education and Training and The Hon. Simone McGurk MLA, Minister for Child Protection; Women’s Interests; Prevention of Family and Domestic Violence; Community Services. Presiding over Executive Council is one of the key constitutional functions of the role of Governor. The Executive Council is the supreme decision making body of Government and comprises the Governor (as Chair) and all Cabinet Ministers.
