Welcoming Chargé d’Affaires a.i Michael Goldman to Government House and wishes for a prosperous Year of the Ox February 12, 2021 By Adele Hollywood The Governor welcomed Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the United States of America, Michael Goldman, to Perth this afternoon. It is CdA Goldman’s first visit to Perth since he arrived in Canberra in March 2020. As part of his Representational role, the Governor welcomes all dignitaries to the State on behalf of the Queen and all Western Australians. The Chargé d’Affaires was accompanied by Defence Attaché Colonel Scott Weston and US Consul General David Gainer. Earlier in the day the Governor filmed a message, congratulating the Chung Wah Association on its 110th anniversary and wishing everyone a happy and prosperous Chinese New Year.
