Launch of The West Australian Society of the Arts 125th Anniversary Exhibition

The Governor attended the 125th Anniversary Exhibition by The West Australian Society of the Arts Inc launched at the Italian Club in Fremantle.

As Patron of the Society, the Governor was also proud to help present the annual Art Awards.

The Governor expressed his appreciation to Society members for the work they do in encouraging and supporting all artists, from professionals right through to those just keen to give art a go.

“I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the West Australian Society of the Arts for the part it has played in supporting people across our State in their artistic endeavours,” said the Governor.

“You have stayed true to your motto for the past 125 years – encourage, educate, exhibit – and your members and our community are the better because of it.”
