Supporting WA’s Women in the National Cricket League March 18, 2021 By Carole Kerr Outstanding win by the WA Women’s team against Victoria in the Women’s National Cricket League today with the Governor enjoying a lively wicket-taking session at the WACA by the home team. As Patron of the WACA, the Governor was keen to cheer on the WA team, who had the mammoth challenge of taking on an undefeated Victorian side. The WACA visit was also a chance for the Governor to catch up with Australian cricket legend Geoff ‘Swampy’ Marsh and WACA GM of Business, Justin Michael. The WA team got off to a terrific start, and finished even stronger. Notching up their first win for the WNCL season by six wickets.
