Official dinner for the WA Government

The Governor and Ms Annus welcomed Premier Mark McGowan, WA Government Ministers, Parliamentary Secretaries and partners to an event at Government House as part of a tradition that follows all state elections.

Guests enjoyed a long table dinner on the terrace at Government House, with WA delivering a perfect autumn evening for the occasion.

“It was lovely to welcome the Ministers, Parliamentary Secretaries and guests onto the Terrace outside at Government House,” said the Governor.

“It is in the tradition of the Governor’s role that after each election an event is held for state government Ministers and Secretaries. As part of that tradition a separate event will also be held for the Opposition front bench. 

It was a beautiful evening, with a wonderful shared meal on long tables and a cheerful and friendly atmosphere that was a pleasure for myself and Susie to host.”

The long tables were adorned with floral arrangements all sourced from the beautiful gardens at Government House.
