The Governor meets with business owners at the Noongar Chamber of Commerce

Visit to the Noongar Chamber of Commerce business hub, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea and a meeting with MinAg Holdings and Gnank Yirra Group

NCCI HQ. The visit was hosted by Chamber CEO Tim Milsom and Chairman Gordon Cole.

The Governor visited the Noongar Chamber of Commerce HQ in Subiaco and toured a number of businesses that are located on site.

Ten Noongar owned and operated companies are based in a hub at the Chamber, with the Governor meeting representatives from Codee Cleaning Services, Spartan First indigenous health services and Indigenous Consulting Group – ICG.

“This hub is home to a really successful group of businesses thinking their way through niche opportunities in the metropolitan area and further afield,” said the Governor.

“The Chamber itself has lots of terrific ideas about how their business model can be replicated across the country and when you look at their forward planning and how well these businesses are doing you can only assume they will continue to go from success to success.”

The Governor this afternoon met with Chairman of MinAg Holdings Mr Allan Ferguson and Founder of Gnank Yirra Group Mr John McGuire.

The meeting provided a briefing and update on an agriculture-focused project the pair are working on.

Later this afternoon the Governor received the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Government House. His Excellency Mr Jeong-sik Kang is enjoying his first official visit to Western Australia and was joined today by his wife, Mrs Yoon Sun Huh.
