Balga PS Schools Music and Art
Great way to start the day filled with music, dance and laughter

Music, laughter, education and all that jazz!

No better way to start the day than with music and laughter filling the halls of Government House, and that’s exactly what happened today when the Governor and Ms Annus welcomed students from Balga Primary School.

The visit was part of the Government House Schools Music and Art Program, a new initiative aimed at making music education accessible to all and providing an opportunity for children to also visit and tour Government House and chat with the Governor.

The Program, working in tandem with Musica Viva Australia, saw 40 students and their teachers enjoy an interactive concert by the talented WA Jazz and Rhythm & Blues band ‘Adam Hall and the Velvet Players‘ that had everyone singing, dancing and scatting their way through a morning of fun.

Following the top-tapping concert the students and teachers also enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of Government House and a chance for Q&A in the Governor’s study.
