This year, a record 1500 riders will cycle the 200km from Optus Stadium to Mandurah and back again over the weekend of the 16-17 October.

The Governor commended all the riders, their supporters and sponsors on a truly inspiring effort, with pledges already in excess of six million dollars with still 5 days to go.

All money raised goes directly towards funding vital cancer research projects at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research, of which the Governor is patron.

Over the past ten years, the MACA 200 Ride for Research has raised over $40 million for cancer research by the Perkins, making this event the most successful charity bike event in Australia in terms of fundraising.
