Special meeting of Executive Council

The Red Room at Government House was the setting for a special Executive Council meeting held today.

The Governor was joined at the Executive Council by the Honourable Bill Johnston MLA, Minister for Energy; Corrective Services and the Honourable Amber-Jade Sanderson MLA, Minister for Environment; Climate Action; Commerce.

Clerk of Executive Council Brendan D’Sa was also in attendance.

Presiding over Executive Council is one of the key constitutional functions of the role of Governor. The meeting allows him to be briefed on the latest from the Legislative Assembly and carry out administrative requirements such as signing-off on bills passed by Parliament.
