The Governor and Ms Annus hosted the Board of Tourism WA at Government House Working to support WA’s tourism and screen production industries December 13, 2021 By Carole Kerr Advocating for two of WA’s key industries was on the agenda for the Governor today, meeting with representatives from our tourism and screen production sectors. The Governor and Ms Annus welcomed the Board of Tourism Western Australia to Government House for a chance to meet with members, gain an understanding of their goals and plans, and identify potential advocacy opportunities. The Board sets the strategic direction for Tourism WA, shaping how the agency works to support the multi-billion dollar industry in this state and working to ensure WA’s continued growth as a premiere holiday and events destination. Meeting with Screenwest CEO Earlier in the day the Governor and Ms Annus met with Screenwest CEO Rikki Lea Bestall. The Governor and Ms Annus are strong advocates for further growth and development of WA’s world-class film, TV and interactive projects industry. As Patron of Screenwest, the Governor is keen to see the continued success of the industry in this state.
