Executive Council meets regularly across the year, presided over by the Governor, to enable the progression of government business. Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra A chance to check-in with one of the Governor’s patronages, board members of the Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra stopped by to discuss their 2022 plans. Guests included Mrs Ann Bray, President, Ms Andrea Brittan, Vice-President, and Dr Ti Wan Porter, Charity Chair. Swearing In Congratulations to the Honourable Samantha Rowe MLC who was today sworn in as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Culture and the Arts; Sports and Recreation; International Education; Heritage. Looking to the stars After a chance encounter in Moora in 2021, Donna Vanzetti and Carol Redford of Beam Me Up Media visited Government House today to discuss astro-tourism. The two stargazers are working on a project to make stargazing more accessible to the general public and hope to work with local governments in the regions to better promote astro-tourism and space science opportunities in regional Australia. There will be some rare night-sky events occurring in WA in 2023 that are worth looking out for.
