Cook Society Reception

The Cook Society meeting

The Governor was pleased to welcome special guests from the Cook Society to an early evening reception at Government House.

The Cook Society concentrates on bringing people together to share thoughts, ideas and discussions on everything from science, technology, politics, trade, government, education, culture and business. At the bequest of the Society members, the Governor gave an insight into his term to date and the impacts his role has had within the community of Western Australia.

The Cook Society meeting

Following his speech, the Honourable Kerry Sanderson AC spoke, as did four-time NBL championship player and former Vice-Captain of the Perth Wildcats, Greg Hire. Mr Hire shared with the congregation his work with “A Stitch in Time” – a story you can hear in one episode of “Conversations at Government House.”
