In his speech to the gathered crowd, he commented, “As a community, we express the best of our values through organisations such as Scouts WA when we create environments that motivate young people towards goal setting, community involvement, leadership development and personal growth. These values and skills are so important in equipping our younger folk in meeting the challenges – and making the most – of the opportunities that they will inevitably come their way.”
