The Governor hosts auction winners from the 2021 Pirate Ship Foundation “Ultimate Backyard Cricket Match”. Thanking supporters of the Ultimate Backyard Cricket Match February 9, 2022 By Ashayla Dawn In 2021 Government House hosted the “Ultimate Backyard Cricket Match” to raise funds for the Pirate Ship Foundation. As part of fundraising efforts to support research into childhood brain cancer, a lunch with the Governor was auctioned off. Mr and Mrs Nicholas and Sharon Read, of Read Corporate were the successful bidders. Today, the Governor welcomed Mr and Mrs Read, as well as invited clients and associates of Read Corporate – a boutique investor relations consultancy – to Government House. Government House has once again teamed with the Pirate Ship Foundation to present another round of “Ultimate Backyard Cricket” on 12 March 2022.
