Preparing for ANZAC Day activities

Day 2 of the mesmerising Poppy display in the Gardens saw a lot of foot traffic, including reporter Kate Massey from Channel 7 News.

Ms Massey spent some time achieving the perfect shot before asking the Governor a few questions about the significance of the display.

Early this morning, the Governor received a call from 6ix host, Matt Conlan. Mr Conlan is producing a series of discussions set to air on ANZAC Day. Snippets of interviews with current and former ADF personnel, RSL members and Western Australian identities will focus on the importance of commemoration and the role WA plays in the defence of Australia.

As patron of RSLWA, the War Widow’s Guild of Australia WA Inc, HMAS Perth (1) Memorial Foundation Inc, the Australian Federation of Totally and Permanently Incapacitated Ex-Service Men and Women WA,, Navy League of Australia (Western Australian Division), Army Museum of Western Australia Foundation, the Royal Australian Air Force Association, Legacy WA, Defence Force Welfare Association (WA Branch) Inc and Army Art, let alone as former Defence Minister, the Governor certainly had a few words to say.
