The Governor talks critical minerals with Mr Michael Shiffer Critical minerals on the agenda June 3, 2022 By Carole Kerr The area of critical minerals was a key talking point today when the Governor received a visit from Mr Michael Shiffer, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in the US Congress. Mr Shiffer was accompanied by US Consul General Mr David J. Gainer and Perth USAsia Centre’s Professor Gordon Flake. Discussions centred on Australia’s work in producing and processing critical minerals, and any role the US could have in this. The Governor was invited to indulge in a little morning tea and chat with members of the unit.
