Farewell to the US Consul General and thanking Gold Fields Ltd

Today at Government House, the Governor received Mr David J. Gainer, who will soon conclude his three-year term as US Consul General in Perth.

The discussion reflected on the distinguishing features of Western Australia, including its fostering of world-leading industries, and looked ahead to continuing the strong connections between Western Australia and the United States. The Consul General thanked the Governor for his support in facilitating networks across the State during his term.

Lunch for winners of Telethon Ball Auction

Mr Gary Snow and Mr Stuart Mathews arrive at Government House.

The Governor and Ms Annus were pleased to donate an auction item for the 2021 Telethon Ball which saw $5.5million raised for research into and care of childhood illness.

Mr Stuart Mathews of Gold Fields Australia Pty Ltd was the successful bidder and after multiple postponements due to COVID-19, attended Government House today joined by his colleagues.
