Paul O’Neill and Ashlyn Tymms from WA Opera perform. Government House Foundation AGM June 13, 2022 By Ashayla Dawn The Governor attended the Government House Foundation AGM to congratulate and thank the members on their year’s programme of events and activities. The Government House Foundation is made of a group of dedicated volunteers with the aim of conserving and enhancing Government House through raising funds and encouraging the wider community to directly experience ‘their’ House. Since 2006 they have staged the popular ‘Music on the Terrace’ concert series to showcase young local talent. The Governor addresses the forum. “I thank you for your steadfast commitment to the work of the Foundation and in continuing to source and book and share such fabulous performers. In so doing, you have delivered on the Foundation’s purpose and shared this beautiful place with our community, to whom it actually belongs. I would like to thank the Council, particularly the Foundation Chair, Ms Ferrari, for her leadership. All of the members for their individual contributions, and pay special tribute to our talented Musical Director, Mark Coughlan.” At the end of the AGM a reception was held with a surprise performance from the talented duo of Paul O’Neill and Ashlyn Tymms.
