The Ambassador to Japan and Morning Tea at Parliament House June 15, 2022 By Ashayla Dawn The Governor was invited to morning tea at Parliament House as a thank you for his service. Met by the Honourable Alanna Clohesy MLC, President of the Legislative Council and the Honourable Michelle Roberts MLA, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, the Governor and Ms Annus enjoyed a light morning tea and discussions. Australian Ambassador to Japan The Ambassador admires the artwork on display in the dining room. The Governor received Ms Jan Adams AO PSM, Australia’s Ambassador to Japan, who is in Perth to undertake mid-term consultations, having taken up her appointment in November 2020. After a tour of the Aboriginal artwork currently displayed in Government House, the Governor and Ambassador met to discuss the strength of Australia’s relationship with Japan, outcomes from the recent Quad Leaders’ Summit held in Tokyo and priorities for Western Australia.
